Dr. Whitener is a native of Hayti, Missouri. She earned her undergraduate degree from Southwest Missouri State University in 1997 and graduated from Southern College of Optometry in 2001. In 2004, she returned home and opened Bootheel Eye Care, where she has proudly served the vision needs of Bootheel communities for over twenty years.
Outside the office, Dr. Whitener enjoys reading, traveling, and spending quality time with her family. She is actively involved in the community as a volunteer with the Union Mission Weekend Food for Kids program, a board member for Transitions, and a member of Grace Methodist Church.
