Dr. Schroeder grew up on a farm in northwest Iowa and did his undergraduate work at Iowa State University. He then finished his graduate work at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis where he met his wife Allison. He and Allison started Bootheel Eye Care together in 2004.
After work Dr. Schroeder enjoys school and outdoor activities with his 3 children Luke, Sydney, and Kate. He attends Grace Methodist Church, is a Rotary Noon past-president, and spends time with the Union Mission.
